Pilgrimage

Every 5 years these horned creatures embark on a long and dangerous journey across the mountains outside their valley.They honour
the statue of their ancestor, the God of Nature ( nowadays they resemble very little this ancient deer-like creature) by covering his shrine in flowers that bloom only around this sacred place. In spite of their spiked tails and fearsome look they are herbivores by nature, and their razor-sharp front limbs are equally good at cutting plants and shaping stone into primitive religious and mythological figures.

I was getting rusty at using UE4 and Zbrush so I decided to recreate this image that I had for a while now in my head .

I played around with different  variations of the same very simple setup -Skylight  and Directional Light

I made some assets modular and used Mirror with some manual tweaks for the wooden horns.Later i grabbed some scans of moss alpha and made the fluffy  mossy coverage in the final scene in UE4
